The Milk Pail, League City, TX

We live in a society that glorifies busyness; many of us stay busy in order to try to anesthetize pain and suffering in our lives.  Try to take some time for yourself today...it's okay.

This little gem of a restaurant/gift shop can be found in historic League City, TX.  I am blessed to enjoy a wonderful meal in the stillness of this historic house.
I noticed that the older I become, the more I enjoy a quiet restaurant out of the way {and not necessarily the most popular either}

Resting does not necessarily mean idleness, as most often perceived. Sometimes we can find rest in things that make us happy.  Or rest in just getting away from it all.

Busyness invades my days, riding on the spinning wheels of an over active mind. This post pulled me in to sit a while on the banquet wrapped chairs and find calm in the rolling hills and sky-blue, flower-topped shades. I thank You, God of Creation, for fellow sojourners who write and take photos and draw and pen songs, leaving footprints in the sand which do not wash away with the next wave.

Pattie, thank you for visiting and offering your wonderful insight. In a world where we can't even figure out our TV remote control, it's difficult to be still and practice being in the presence of God.
