We all collect things. Over the years, I have collected postage stamps from all parts of the world. They are most of cats but I do have a extensive collection of world flags. Stamp collecting seems to be a lost art...there are rarely stores that carry them. Perhaps no one collects them because no one writes snail mail anymore? { I love snail mail! Hint, hint} Some of my kindergartners have never even seen or heard of a postage stamp. I'll have to bring one in to show them. Also, my latest coloring pages from this past weekend. Do you like to send snail mail or color?
Annabel is worn out from reading her cat book!

What a cool stamp collection. I can't believe some of your students have never seen a stamp before. Sending notes and cards in the mail is a lost art, but I will continue to send hand written letters and cards.....and I love receiving them too. : )

Kids that have never seen a stamp?! I can't imagine. It makes me sad too. There's something wonderful about a handwritten letter delivered to your home and everyone should experience it. Maybe they could be pen pals with another school and you can show them how it's done? We did that when I was a kid.
Love the coloring and Holiday Inn ;)

I remember my fifth grade teacher giving us a lesson on how to write a letter...this was still way before email, but I never forgot that.
